You will be welcomed by residents of the community who will accompany you to their home where you first learn about their daily lives. Afterwards, you get an introduction to the tasks you will attend today. A little hut in the backyard of the house serves as the workplace. It is surrounded by a small garden and free-range animals such as chickens, rabbits and ducks. Exactly the right place to volunteer. Today's volunteer work involves producing wooden trash cans, painting them, and putting them up in different parts of the community to keep the neighbourhood clean and attractive. You can write your name on a small sign next to the cans and thus leave a small trace of you in the village. Another way of volunteering is to build vegetable beds that are donated to the local school. The school uses the beds to produce the vegetables used in their school kitchen.
Once the work is over, enjoy a typical lunch. You will feel satisfied and confident that you have made a significant honorary contribution to a local community. The residents will appreciate it!
